We are a Christian ministry and as such we teach the Bible. Jesus and living a Christian life is the center of every camp. We present the message of Jesus in a way that is fun for kids and in ways that they can understand.
Camp begins on Thursday evenings with registration at 6:00PM and ends with a program for parents and friends on Saturday evening at 5:00PM.
What happens in between? Lots of songs, messages, puppets, food, special outreach projects, special guests, cool sets, more food, prayer, hearing about Jesus, more songs, more puppets and tons of fun.
All children attend Superkids camps for free. Some children who attend come from lower income homes and the Appalachia area of Ohio. Our goal is to give every child who attends a Bible, brand new camp shirt, school supplies, a CD of all the camp music and a small toy. There is nothing like seeing the face of a child who is given a brand new Bible, shirt or a new box of crayons for their very own! We are always looking for sponsors to help offset the costs of providing these items. If you or your organization wishes to donate please see our “wish list” by following this link. How can I help?
Campers attending Superkids receive much but we also teach the children to “give back” through the Superkids Gives Back program. Each year during camp one of the activities the children complete is a service project such as making fleece blankets to give to the needy – past blankets have gone to Jamaica and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We combine this activity with teaching on the importance of giving to others.
Over the years Superkids Ministries has been asked to bring “Superkids” to local churches or events.
Churches holding week long revivals have asked Superkids to hold similar programs for their children during these weeks. We’ve co-sponsored children’s workers conferences. Superkids Ministries has also been involved in local fairs providing a “fun activity booth for children” at low or no cost to those visiting our booths.
Several of Superkids leaders are well trained to teach/train others and are asked to speak at conferences or seminars. Please contact us if you desire someone to speak at your event.
In December Superkids Ministries sponsors a special event called Santa in the Village®. Held the first weekend of December, this event is family oriented and centers on the Christmas holiday. This event walks the attendee through craft areas, holiday scenes, a visit iwth Santa and Mrs. Claus who share about Jesus and ends with a live nativity. Each child receives a goodie bag to take home.
